Mia Castañer , Olot 1968, empezó a muy temprana edad a entrar dentro del mundo del arte, más concretamente, a todo lo referente a la pintura.



Como exponente de la pintura “ olotina”, se inicia realizando obras de frondosos paisajes situados en la extensa zona de la “Garrotxa”. Su obra en general va tomando una única y marcada dirección, el abstracto. Sin descuidar los mencionados parajes de su pueblo natal, utiliza su exquisita obra para plasmar figuras y colores que entremezclados de manera armoniosa hacen que sus lienzos recobren una dimensión más plástica.



Como buena conocedora de las técnicas de la pintura (cursó estudios de Bellas Artes ) logra apartarse del clasicismo del paisaje para adentrarse en lo que ella clasifica de “ sentimientos internos e imaginativos”. Así, y de forma muy acertada, encuentra la tendéncia que actualmente le caracteriza.



Los relieves de sus telas ensamblados con poéticas pinceladas hacen de sus obras una de las más agradables composiciones que sobre este género hay en la actualidad.
